Just watch the bay horse, Chock full of sense!
Ain't he just beautiful, Risin' to the fence!
Just hear the bay horse, Whinin' in his stall,
Purrin' like a pussy cat, When he hears me call.
The digital piece, "The Bay Stallion" began life as a digital image I took on a trip of a lifetime to the west coast of the United States of America, with a group of fellow Arabian horse lovers, owners and breeders. Our main goal of the trip was to spend time at the famous Scottsdale Arabian Horse show, in Arizona. Of course, when one gets a group of Arabian horse lovers together one has to engage in side trips to visit the local breeders. We were lucky enough to have been invited to visit several studs during our stay.
This lovely bay stallion was at one of the first stud's we visited. A relative youngster, he portrayed a lot of the characteristics of the the Conan poem. Stabled along with younger colts and fillies, he softly nickered when he heard us coming down the aisle. When brought out under the trees, for us to admire he rose to the occasion, displaying himself with a sense of pride and curiousness.
He was certainly a horse to be proud to have bred and reluctant to part with.
